Imo 55SB (Spellbreaker) is still better because of the various locations you can farm, like places with some degen where Sb/Ps is having a harder time. But Sb/Ps is faster and easier on other locations it just depends on where you farm imo.

Err 15 AL LEgs, Boots and helm +Elemental resistance, is better than Frenzy...
I would say 55 monk(if in UW) a smite run would be better to 605(cause you can aggro 100000000 smites and not die) but it you plan to go over in the Bone pits/pools, 55 is better.

You can tank a few hits of Grasping Darknesses with 55 hp if you got 60 AL.
If you have 900 hp and 15 AL or 55 hp and 60 AL and are tanking the hit of an Aatxe, you're dead either way.

I actually kept my pupil's armor (AL 5) set. it pwnd with duo SB in UW!
except i change the scalp for attribute boost.
I prefer SB as it's safer. It can be run with SS or Smite Monk.
If I'm taking SS, I'll be Mo/Me with AV+SV+elemental resistance, further reduce armor
SV/AV is to let SS necro be N/Mo, and bring mending+balthazar spirit+rebirth.
If going with Smite monk, vital blessing is crucial for the extra dmg.
The best and fastest way (if farming UW) is SB monk + SS necro + Smite Monk.
we clear pretty much of UW (except Spawning Pools, Twin Serpent Mountains & the other 1 which i can't rmbr the name)

i ran a sb monk in uw over the weekend a few times and had no problems triggering sb at all. i use ascalon 15Al armor...all 4 pieces. i however do not use retribution and elemantal resistance though. i do take watchful spirit though to help couteract the bleeding. a 30 second spellbreaker makes the popups a non issue =). bonettis really isn't needed cause of the 1/4 second cast times and recharge times of sb and ps but the extra energy at times is nice.

SB vs 55 Comparison
55 Plusses- Can theorically tank anything but life stealing
- Higher level spells due to the use of superior runes
- Pretty much gets a full heal everytime you cast an enchant (DF)
- Can use any secondary profession
55 Minusses- Limited to how many enemies you can tank
- Requires points in Healing Prayers
- Is restricted on the amount of wildcard skill slots (Core skills: PS, HB, Mending, Balt's)
- Very vulnerable to enchantment removal and interrupts (Breeze 1s cast)
- Expansive
- Degen

SB Plusses- Can tank any amount of enemies as long as SB is triggered
- Requires only two core skills : PS and SB (same attribute as well, don't need healing prayers)
- Much less vulnerable to enchantment removal and interrupts, due to quick recharge of spells and fast cast time
- Needs 15 armor and no sup runes, therefore much cheaper than 55
- Has no problems with life steal, as long as SB can outheal the damage taken from other attacks
SB Minusses- Cannot be used against everything, as many monsters will not trigger SB, even with 15 AL/no armor
- Frenzy or Elemental Resistance will often need to be used to prevent this, which forces the monk into choosing between only 2 secondary professions
- Useless where you'll be fighting with Barbs on you
There are many other points, I just can't think of them all at the moment, but that's pretty much it. Hope it answers the OQ.

Well beside Nahpui quarter i can't get my SB build to work,going against the Jades just out of the market place gets me owned.
I have the Sheperds armour 15,all but the chest piece,a minor smiting,divine and protection rune added,500 health and 40 energy.
I go with the normal skill setup as on Guildwarswiki.
anybody any idea why i keep getting slaughtered besides Nahpui quarter.

What I find about the SB build entertaining is the various ways it can be tweaked and experimented with. I generally can get all of the squids and attaaxes in one pull depending on the dying count as I often end up stopping to make sure they are dead before proceeding. Once I get to the main smite area, it's no more than 4 pulls to clear, done it once on a staggered 2. Currently running the tank with a rit sub class using vital weapon for an additional 96 hp. Never found the need for elem resistance as my two weapon sets are a divine favor staff and the trusty old ffs which has a useful little -10ac while attacking feature. Vital stays up for 30 secs and is great for tight spots. I think I'll try CoF this evening tho, that sounds fun.

Sb/Ps can also tank as many beasties as you can find, while 55 struggles the more you agro Sb/Ps wants more
